Court of appeals judge finalists selected
Governor to appoint new court of appeals judge
The Colorado Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission met in Denver on May 23 and 24, 2005, to consider candidates for a vacancy on the Colorado Court of Appeals. This vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable Henry E. Nieto. Three nominees were selected and certified to the Governor. In alphabetical order, they are Honorable John P. Leopold of Centennial; Blain D. Myhre of Centennial; and Gilbert M. Roman of Lakewood.
Under the Colorado Constitution, the Governor has 15 days from May 24, 2005, within which to appoint one of the nominees as judge for the Colorado Court of Appeals.
