According to the head of Catholic Charities, our nation’s immigration system is broken, separating families with bureaucratic backlogs, keeping 11 million undocumented workers in the shadows and causing undue hardship to those who are seeking to build a new life in America. How our nation’s leaders fix this broken immigration system will say a great deal about who we are and what we value as a nation.
