Montrose County associate court judge finalists selected
Governor to appoint new county court judge
The Seventh Judicial District Nominating Commission (Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Montrose, Ouray and San Miguel counties) considered candidates for a vacancy of an associate county court judge in Nucla created by the resignation of associate county court Judge Bette R. Nickell. Two nominees were selected and certified to the Governor. They are Diane Barber and Susan Ann Gardner Rice, both of Nucla.
Under the Colorado Constitution, the Governor has 15 days from May 10, 2006, within which to appoint one of the nominees as associate county court judge for the Seventh Judicial District.
