Douglas County court judge finalists selected
Governor to appoint new county court judge
The Eighteenth Judicial District Nominating Commission (Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties) met in Castle Rock on May 9, 2006, to consider candidates for a vacancy on the county court. This vacancy was created pursuant to House Bill 06-1028, effective July 1, 2006. Three nominees were selected and certified to the Governor. They are Grafton M. Biddle, Parker; Beth A. Elliott-Dumler, Larkspur; and Monica J. Gomez-Ramunda, Parker.
Under the Colorado Constitution, the Governor has 15 days from May 10, 2006, within which to appoint one of the nominees as Douglas County court judge.
