Karen Abbott joins Judicial Department as communications,
public education and information coordinator
Karen Abbott, a 29-year veteran newspaper reporter, has joined the Judicial Department as the communications, public education and information coordinator. Ms. Abbott joins Karen Salaz in working on projects related to public education and outreach, publications, communications, website content and media-related issues.
"As a reporter covering the courts, Karen was highly respected for her integrity and accuracy as well as her ability to explain complex legal concepts in everyday English," says Chief Justice Mary Mullarkey. "I expect her to use those same skills to good advantage in her new position."
