Jefferson County court judge finalists selected
Governor to appoint new county court judge
The First Judicial District Nominating Commission met in Golden on May 15,
2006, to consider candidates for a new county court judgeship. This vacancy was created by House Bill 06-1028, effective July 1, 2006. Three nominees were selected and certified to the Governor. They are Randall C. Arp of Lakewood, John A. DeVita II of Littleton, and Carol A. Flowers of Arvada.
Under the Colorado Constitution, the Governor has 15 days from May 16, 2006, within which to appoint one of the nominees as Jefferson County court judgeship in the First Judicial District.
