Monday, January 12, 2009

PUEBLO, Colo. - The 10th Judicial District (Pueblo County) today announced that it has been accepting Visa and Master Card payments online for certain fines and fees, as well as restitution. Online payments can be made seven days a week from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. at https://www.jbits.courts.state.co.us/cjop/ and by selecting the link for Pueblo County. "We made the move to begin accepting online credit card payments as a convenience to the community and it has proven very to be very successful," said Chief Judge Dennis Maes. "EPAY has many advantages including no travel is required, no time is taken from work, no parking challenges and no security screening. We are hopeful that providing this service will help people make payments in a timely manner without having to come to the courthouse." Individuals may access their case and fine information using a case number, name, or ticket number search function. Cases with active warrants, suppressed cases, juvenile cases, and cases that have been referred to private collections cannot be paid online. Credit cards will continue to be accepted in-person at payment counters at the Pueblo County Combined Courts.
