Effective 7/1/09 PERA took over administration for Domestic Relation Order processing of the Colorado state employee 457 plan. Prior admin did not have a 90 day from date of divorce filing deadline for the 457 plan. PERA is imposing the 90 day deadline for divorces after 7/1/09.

Divorces prior to 7/1/09 may have until 6/30/10 to file for division of the 457 account; however, the PERA pension division DRO would still have to be filed within 90 days of the decree.
