Congratulations to Pat Medige who last week was named as the recipient of this year's Annual Award of Recognition from the Colorado Migrant and Rural Coalition. The nomination letter from a member of the Coalition said that Pat "has been instrumental in assisting farmworkers who have legal problems and has had a significant impact in assuring that their rights are met. Pat is always willing to listen and when a referral is made to her, one knows that the individual will be served in an appropriate and timely manner. Pat has always been willing to take on additional assignments both as an advocate for the Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers and as a legal expert. She has been asked to present at various meetings, seminars and conferences. Her sessions are always well attended and interesting. She always has answers to people?s questions and she is seen as a genuine person who truly cares about the farmworker."
