Governor to appoint new district court judge The Seventeenth Judicial District Nominating Commission met in Brighton on Sept. 16, 2005, to consider candidates for a vacancy on the district court. This vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable Donald W. Marshall, Jr. Three nominees were selected and certified to the Governor. They are Robert Walter Kiesnowski, Jr. of Commerce City; Otis Russel Murray of Westminster; and Mark D. Warner of Thornton. Under the Colorado Constitution, the Governor has 15 days from Sept. 16, 2005, within which to appoint one of the nominees as district court judge for the Seventeenth Judicial District.
