Attorney, Greeley Office, Colorado Legal Services

Colorado Legal Services, Greeley office, to represent low-income clients in civil cases.  Salary range begins at $44,125 (DOE), and excellent benefits.  Applicant must be licensed to practice law in Colorado.  Familiarity with dynamics of domestic violence and experience in family law is preferred.  Sensitivity to the legal needs of poor people, minorities, older adults, and domestic violence survivors is required.  Candidates who are fluent in Spanish are preferred.  Applicants must be able to handle fast moving, high volume litigation caseload.  Applications must be received by March 15, 2018 and interviews will begin shortly after this date. Paralegal, Denver Office, Colorado Legal Services

Colorado Legal Services (CLS) seeks a full-time paralegal in its Denver office to work in the Family and Children’s Unit, assisting attorneys in busy domestic relations practice.   Salary range is commensurate with experience, with scale starting at $30,979, and excellent benefits.  Job requires sensitivity to low-income individuals who are also victims of domestic violence, ability to handle fast-paced work, attention to detail, letter writing, submitting document requests, and other paralegal tasks, as needed. Secretary, La Junta Office, Colorado Legal Services

Colorado Legal Services seeks a full-time legal secretary for its office located in LaJunta, CO, providing services to low-income clients in Southeastern Colorado. Salary range commensurate with experience based on salary scale and with opportunity for promotion, and excellent benefits. Job responsibilities include sensitive client data entry and extensive phone contact for legal services applicants. High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.  Successful  candidate will possess strong computer-based (MS Office products) and interpersonal skills. Grant Attorney, Denver Office

Colorado Legal Services seeks a 3 year grant attorney to coordinate the provision of various legal services to female and male, domestic and foreign national victims of sex and labor trafficking; provide direct representation in immigration and record-sealing cases; assist with representation of human trafficking  survivors in civil litigation; conduct initial interviews with potential victims of trafficking and coordinate trainings for victim advocates and attorneys to raise awareness of human trafficking. Excellent opportunity for those  interested in varied legal issues and motivated by social justice.

Position requires an interest in crime victim advocacy, immigration law and civil litigation.  Excellent analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills required.  Fluency in oral and written Spanish required.  Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented and have sensitivity to serving the legal needs of immigrants and crime victims.  Experience in direct client representation required; specific experience in immigration law and serving domestic and foreign national victims of trafficking preferred.  Frequent overnight travel required.
